unlimited: the info era website
summer 2024
I was given the opportunity to complete a creative project of my choosing through the Undergraduate Research Apprenticeship Program (URAP) at OSU, so I chose to finally learn web design languages to create an interactive experience for the web. I knew a bit of HTML and CSS at the beginning but picked up JavaScript (with a handful of helpful libraries) along the way!
Through this website, I wanted to go through different eras of technology and their impact on our thinking. In some ways, the aesthetics are clunky and cheesy, but I wanted to keep it as true as possible to the era being depicted. I made widgets from scratch and some interactive elements, such as a chat bot that responds to your topic choices in the 90s.
The website can be found here (not for mobile as it is an experimental site): unlimitedtheinfoera.com
