Our challenge for the final project in Motion Graphics was to choose a topic we hold dear. I partnered with Kitty Kozlowski and we created a five minute video detailing the history and impact of the Italian artist Artemisia Gentileschi. Her story hits home with us because as women, we face a good deal of bias in our fields and Gentileschi's story and perspective on the world are inspiring to us. We chose a fun, abstract style to counteract the detail and realism in her paintings. I chose to focus on bringing some of these paintings to life by making them move, something that was a great challenge but taught me a lot about animation.
