design merch competition

The design department held a contest to see who would design merchandise to represent all three of the disciplines in our program (industrial, interior, and visual communication). These are different iterations of my designs, meant for hoodies and shirts.
For the first row of designs, I wanted to take a useful tool from each discipline, settling on a blueprint, ruler, and cursor. I paid close attention to the angles each tool faced, creating a sense of togetherness among the typography. There are also a few easter eggs relating to Hayes Hall, something that unites all three design disciplines (see the blueprint and ruler shapes and linework).
Front Design
My second concept was mainly for my own exploration, using an isometric grid to align the letters and using geometry to unfold the design from itself to reveal more letters.
